Youth Development

The New Zealand Blues, Roots & Groove Festival will feature national, regional, local artists both established and emerging.

Emerging artists are a particular passion for the promotors and organisers with an Incorporated Charitable Trust planned to organise the Festival and also manage the non-profit Blues ‘n Roots music in the Schools and youth music education programme.

The Young Jazz Band-it competitions, supported by Youthtown, have been developed to support jazz music programmes and jazz understanding through the distribution of New Zealand inspired, popular compositions arranged for secondary and intermediate school jazz ensembles.
